So Thai is a staple in our household. We have tried SO MANY Thai places all over Oakland County and beyond, but this one has always remained in the rotation. The food won't change your life but is good and consistent. Their crab rangoons aren't my favorite which is a bit of a bummer - however, their dumplings, curries, and pad thai make up for it. If you're looking for a place to start, our go-to order pretty much always includes their curry fried rice and peanut curry.

There aren't very many Thai places around here that have in person dining anymore. A few of our favorites only do carry out since Covid. We decided to try So Thai since you can eat at the restaurant. Ambiance was decent - not very full tonight. Food was tasty - we had soup, fresh rolls, a sweet chili cashew dish and a peanut curry dish. The service was friendly but not all that well paced. But it was fine for what we needed. Overall a decent Thai places and we liked that we could have a dine in experience.

Delicious! Surprised that there were not very patrons on a Saturday afternoon. I shared the pad Thai with my daughter (portions are quite large!) and the crab Rangoons are to die for. The pad Thai is absolutely delicious and they provided quite a bit of peanuts (which is always loved...at least by us!) and the crab rangoons were perfect: crispy on the outside and packed with cream cheese and crab on the inside - absolutely delectable with the sauce. If I lived in Michigan, this would be my place to go for Thai ALL the time. So good!!

The food is excellent. Staff is friendly. Quick service. I wish that I lived closer I would visit more often.

So Thai is so darn good. Fresh and flavors are always on point. Kick boxing chicken is always great. Hot and sour soup is also so good. Wish they were on door dash or did delivery because I would get it way more often lol!

We have been here many times and overdue for a review. I don't know why So Thai isn't busier. They do a decent carry out business but we are usually one of the few people dining in. I don't know why because it's one of the better Thai places in the metro area...more authentic than most. And, I have been to MANY as a big fan of Thai food. I had my usual Tom Yum soup to start with chicken. I ordered it medium and a word of caution....their medium is pretty hot! My wife had a stir fried vegetable dish with chicken and I had drunkin noodles with shrimp which is always great. Service always quick and friendly. Highly recommended if you find yourself in the area and want Thai food.

Arrived in Michigan after driving all day from Gettysburg PA and decided to try the takeout service at this Thai restaurant. My wife ordered the drunken noodles with pork and I ordered cashew chicken stirfry and brown sauce with veggies. When we arrived 20 minutes later the order was ready to go and reasonably priced at $26 plus tax and tip. The restaurant was pretty much deserted, but there was a lineup of about a dozen takeout orders, ready to go... Which I took as a good sign. My wife could give the drunken noodles a solid B+... They were very good... But not as good as our favorite Thai restaurant in Frederick, Maryland. (Sumittra) I had exactly the same rating for my cashew chicken veggie stirfry a solid B+. Very tasty but again not as good as our favorite thai restaurant in Frederick, Maryland. (Sumittra) All things being said, I would certainly order take out here again when I next visit Waterford, Michigan.
